Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about selling gift cards on Trusioo in Nigeria and Ghana.

Getting Started

Trusioo is a trusted gift card exchange platform serving Nigeria and Ghana. We buy your unused or unwanted gift cards and pay you instantly in Nigerian Naira (NGN) or Ghanaian Cedis (GHS). With over 50,000 satisfied customers, we are the go-to platform for fast, safe, and transparent gift card trading in West Africa.
We accept a wide range of gift cards including Amazon, Apple/iTunes, Google Play, Steam, Xbox/Microsoft, eBay, Sephora, Walmart, Nordstrom, Razer Gold, Vanilla Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and many more. We accept cards from the US, UK, Canada, Europe, and other regions. Use our rates calculator to check if your specific card is listed.
Most transactions are completed in under 10 minutes. Once you send your card details via WhatsApp, we verify the balance (typically 3–7 minutes) and send payment immediately after confirmation. Payment lands in your account within 5 minutes of verification.
No account creation is needed. Simply message us on WhatsApp with your card details, receive a quote, send the card code, and get paid. For larger trades, we may ask for basic verification to protect both parties.
No — we focus exclusively on buying gift cards from customers. This specialisation lets us maintain the highest possible buy rates and fastest payment times. We are a buy-only platform.

Rates & Pricing

Our rates are determined daily based on current market demand, the USD/NGN and USD/GHS foreign exchange rates, card type, and denomination. We update rates every day and sometimes multiple times per day when the market moves significantly. You can always check the latest rates on our rates calculator page.
Several factors influence your payout: (1) Card type — Amazon and Apple cards typically carry higher rates than Google Play. (2) Denomination — larger cards generally get better per-dollar rates. (3) Card country of origin — US cards usually command the best rates. (4) Receipt — Apple/iTunes cards with a purchase receipt receive a premium rate. (5) Market conditions on the day of trade.
Rates are quoted separately for Nigeria (NGN) and Ghana (GHS) since the two currencies fluctuate independently. Nigerian traders receive Naira, Ghanaian traders receive Cedis. Both markets receive competitive, market-leading rates. Use our rates calculator and select your country to see the relevant quote.
No. There are zero platform fees, processing charges, or hidden deductions. The rate we quote you is exactly what you receive — not a cent less. Our business model is based on the trading margin, not on charging sellers.
Our rates are set by market conditions and are already optimised to be the best available. However, if you are trading a very large amount (e.g., $500+ in a single transaction), message us — we may be able to offer a volume-based premium rate for bulk trades.

Payment & Payout

We pay via instant bank transfer directly to your Nigerian or Ghanaian bank account, or to your mobile money wallet. In Nigeria, we support all major banks including GTBank, Access Bank, Zenith, First Bank, UBA, and others. In Ghana, we support GCB, Ecobank, Absa, Fidelity, CalBank, and all major banks plus MTN MoMo, Vodafone Cash, and AirtelTigo Money.
Payment is sent within 5 minutes of card verification. For most banks and mobile money wallets, the funds arrive in your account almost instantly. In rare cases of banking system delays, transfers may take up to 30 minutes, but this is uncommon.
We generally accept cards from $10 upwards. There is no strict maximum, though very large transactions (e.g., $1,000+) may require additional verification steps. If you have a high-value card, contact us first and we will walk you through the process.
Currently we pay in local currency only — NGN for Nigerian traders and GHS for Ghanaian traders. We do not offer USD wire transfers or cryptocurrency payments at this time.
Always double-check your account number before trading. If you provide an incorrect account number and payment is sent, recovery depends on the receiving bank. We strongly recommend verifying your account details before confirming a trade. Contact us immediately via WhatsApp if you notice an error.

Safety & Security

Yes. We have completed over 50,000 transactions with a proven track record of honesty and reliability. Your card details are used only for balance verification and are never stored or shared. We operate transparently and encourage new traders to start with a small card to build confidence before moving to larger amounts.
Our reputation is built on thousands of successful trades. We encourage you to check reviews and payment proofs before your first trade. We never ask for card details before giving you a quoted rate. Our process is: quote first → you agree → you send card → we verify → we pay. We do not hold cards without payment.
Use only our official WhatsApp number listed on this website. Never send cards to strangers on social media. Never give your card code to someone who found you (rather than you finding them). Legitimate buyers always quote first — if someone asks for the card code before quoting a rate, it is a scam. Always start with a small test trade on any new platform.
No. We do not sell or share your data with third parties. Your phone number, bank details, and transaction information are used solely to complete your trade and are treated as confidential. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
We verify the actual balance directly with the card issuer during the trade. If the balance differs from what you stated (e.g., you thought you had $100 but the card was partially used), we will quote a revised rate based on the real balance. You can accept or decline at that point — no obligation.

Nigeria & Ghana Specific

Yes — if you are in Ghana, we pay you in Ghanaian Cedis (₵) directly to your Ghanaian bank account or Mobile Money wallet. Just let us know you are based in Ghana when you message us. We support GCB Bank, Ecobank, Absa, Fidelity Bank, CalBank, Stanbic, and all major Ghanaian financial institutions.
We support all Nigerian commercial banks for instant transfer, including GTBank, Access Bank, Zenith Bank, First Bank, UBA, Fidelity Bank, Union Bank, Wema Bank, FCMB, Sterling Bank, Keystone Bank, Polaris Bank, and all others regulated by the CBN. We also support Opay and Kuda accounts.
All trading is done directly via our official WhatsApp channel — we do not use third-party agents. This keeps your transaction secure and ensures you are dealing with our verified team. Be cautious of anyone claiming to be a Trusioo agent not linked from our official website.
Yes, we accept the same card types for both Nigerian and Ghanaian users. The difference is only in the currency of payout — NGN for Nigeria, GHS for Ghana. Rates per dollar may differ slightly between the two markets due to different FX conditions, but we offer competitive rates in both currencies.
Rates are updated daily, and occasionally intraday when FX markets move. Generally, trading during the start of the business week (Monday–Wednesday) tends to catch fresh rate updates. However, we are available 24/7 and rates are always competitive regardless of the time. If a specific rate is especially important to you, check our rates page first thing in the morning for the freshest quote.
