The mistake that makes a Roblox card worthless

This is the single most important thing on this page.

Once a Roblox card is redeemed into an account, its trade value is gone. The Robux sits in that account. It cannot be moved to another account, cannot be refunded, and cannot be sold.

People lose money on this constantly. A parent buys a card, the child redeems it, then the family later wants to convert it back to cash — and there is nothing left to sell. There is no way to reverse a Roblox redemption.

If there is any chance you will want the cash instead, do not redeem the card. Keep the PIN unscratched or the email unopened until you decide.

Roblox cards are also the most common scam target

Because Roblox cards are bought for children, scammers target them specifically — often through in-game messages promising free Robux in exchange for a card code.

A Roblox card code is cash. Anyone who sees it can spend it.
No legitimate Roblox promotion, giveaway or "generator" ever asks for a card code.
