Apple Gift Card or iTunes Card? A Nigeria Type and Region Checklist
The words Apple gift card and iTunes card are often used as if they mean the same thing. They do not always describe the same product. If you are in Nigeria and want to understand an Apple card before discussing its value, identify the exact card first. A wrong label can lead to a wrong expectation or a failed redemption.
Which Apple card do you have?
Apple currently describes three relevant families in its card identification guide:

A US dollar card and a UK pound card are therefore different products even if their face values look similar.

A five-minute checklist before you ask for a quote
- Read the product name on the card or email rather than relying on a nickname such as “iTunes.”
- Note the issuing country, currency and face value exactly as shown.
- Confirm the card is still unused. A card already redeemed to an Apple Account is account balance, not a fresh code.
- Keep the original receipt or order confirmation in case activation or ownership needs checking.
- Review the issuer's terms for the specific country. For example, Apple's US gift card terms restrict exchange or resale for value. If you are comparing a third-party quote on a rate page, the displayed estimate does not override those terms or promise payment before verification.
What if the code says “already redeemed”?
Do not buy another card or send the same code to multiple strangers to “test” it. If it is your card, sign in to the relevant Apple Account and check the balance.
